In August 2013 our very own fitness fanatic Designer, Zoe along with 27 others, put her legs to the test and took part in a two hour spinathon at Pendle Leisure Centre, Colne.
The event was organised to raise much-needed money for two virtually unheard of charities - C-R-Y (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and the Sam Shaw Appeal.
The Big Spin-Off went amazingly well. A total of 28 people took part and over £400 was raised for the Sam Shaw Appeal.
Burnley Play Association is a charity that provides play activities for children - no matter what their ability, race or creed. In November 2013, a Ladies Night was held at the play centre to raise funds and awareness for the charity.
We donated our time and skills to produce marketing materials and advertisements, free drinks for the ladies on arrival, Christmas stalls, raffle and prizes, naked butlers and even put on a fashion show!
A few years ago, a family member of Zoe's was diagnosed with the dreaded Big C. She decided, along with her sister, that she would run the Race For Life to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. She finished the race in under 30 minutes, doubling her sponsorship money for the charity.
We are constantly seeking new ways to help raise funds for charities of all kinds.
If you would like to know how we can help you and your organisation, please get in touch.
On Saturday 8th August 2015, the shops in the Arcade, Colne helped raise money for Breast Cancer Care. We hosted a strawberry tea cake party, which included cakes, games and a raffled - and even dressed as strawberries!
Together, we raised over £300 for the charity. If you would like to donate, please visit the website at breastcancercare.org.uk.
On Friday 12th September 2014 a charity evening was held at Mytton Fold Hotel and Golf Club to raise money for children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.
We were approached by teenage cancer survivor, Francesca Wheatley earlier this year to donate a raffle prize. Obviously there isn't much we can donate, but we offered to help in any way we could - social media adverts, flyers and even donated a seating plan for the evening itself.
Organised by Francesca and her family, the masquerade themed evening included a 3 course meal, raffle, silent auction, photographer, photo booth, DJ and disco. Francesca bravely stood and spoke about her personal experience, fighting cancer and losing some of her best friends.
In May 2014, Zoe along with her friend Aneesa Neelam ran the BUPA Great Manchester Run. Completing all 10k of the race, to help raise money for local charity, Pendleside Hospice.
In June 2014, Zoe along with her good friend Gemma Vaughan took part in a 3 hour spinathon to raise money for The Solomon Project.
The Solomon Project is advocating the needs of some of Kenya's poorest children, by providing daily in-school meals. To feed a childfor a whole year costs just £17 - that's just 8 pence per day.
Together, we raised £1400 for the charity.
